-Pengertian Recount Text:

 Recount text adalah jenis teks yang menceritakan kembali serangkaian peristiwa, pengalaman, atau kejadian yang telah terjadi di masa lalu secara kronologis atau berurutan. 

-Struktur Recount Text :

1. Orientation

Berisi pengenalan tokoh, tempat, waktu, dan kejadian.

2. Events

Berisi rangkaian peristiwa yang kronologis.

3. Re-orientation

Berisi kesimpulan cerita serta kesan dan harapan.

-Ciri Ciri Recount Text:

1. Menggunakan past tense:

(S+V2+O)

2. Disusun secara kronologis

3. Berisi informasi nyata

4. Berfokus pada penulis atau karakter dalam cerita

My Weekend At The Beach

Last Saturday, I went to the beach with my family. We left home early in the morning and arrived there at 8 a.m. The weather was sunny and perfect for swimming. I played in the water with my brother and collected seashells on the shore.

After that, we had lunch together under a big umbrella. We ate fried rice and drank coconut water. In the afternoon, we built a big sandcastle before going home.

It was a fun and relaxing day. I hope I can visit the beach again soon!

*NARRATIVE TEXT*:

-Pengertian Narrative Text:

Narrative text adalah teks yang berisi cerita imajinatif atau kisah nyata yang disusun untuk menghibur pembaca atau pendengar. Teks ini biasanya memiliki alur cerita (plot), tokoh (characters), latar (setting), dan konflik serta penyelesaian (complication and resolution). Narrative text bertujuan untuk menghibur dan menyampaikan pesan moral atau pelajaran dari sebuah cerita.

-Struktur Narrative text 

1. Orientation

Berisi pengenalan karakter, tempat, dan waktu.

2. Complication

Berisi masalah atau hal yang terjadi disebuah cerita.

3. Resolution

Berisi penyelesaian masalah (problem solving) dari karakter yang ada.

4. Re-orientation

Berisi pesan moral dan penutup. 

-Ciri Ciri Narrative Text:

1. Menggunakan past tense

(S+V2+O)

2. Menggunakan konjungsi

(and, and then, after that, finally)

3. Fokus dengan karakter utama dan alur cerita

4. Bertujuan untuk menghibur

The Lion and the Mouse

One day, a lion was sleeping in the forest. Suddenly, a little mouse ran over his face. The lion woke up angrily and caught the mouse. The mouse begged, “Please don’t eat me, Lion. One day I will help you.”

The lion laughed but let the mouse go. A few days later, the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He roared loudly for help. The mouse heard his voice and came quickly. The mouse bit the net with his small teeth until the lion was free.

The lion was very thankful. From that day, the lion and the mouse became good friends.

Moral value: Even a small friend can help a big one.
